    Polaris Ranger Axles

Its time to rebuild my 2007 Rangers front end. I'm trying to decide if I should go with the Sixity axles assemblies for $123 for the set or Rhino brand for $199 a piece. I only use the ranger to fill feeders and pick up dead deer, so I'm not sure I need $400 worth of axles. What are y'all's thoughts?

I've used both I have better luck out of the sixty than the rhino. Myself and a friend both replaced some axles with the rhino at about the same time and both had boots torn within a week of use. The main thing is to make sure to torque the nut to the right spec and lock it in good.

You will be good with the Sixty brand. If you were lifted, big tires, and mudding I'd say go for Rhino 2.0's. For what you're doing with the machine, the cheaper brand will be fine.

have you tried niche? I have used them with good success and its relatively cheap- quality seems to be equal to those you would find elsewhere and actually heavier shaft diameter.

Also I'm planning on going with forward A arms to give me a little more tire clearance.

Do you know the torque spec?

Fixing to do this myself! Both front boots are torn pretty bad and it seems easier to change the axles than the boots and bearings!

I do not know what it is on a ranger I have a Rhino and have a manual for it and it says 190 Ft/lbs. My wrench only goes to 150 so I really get on it, before I wasn't getting it tight enough and the nut would back off.

Might try Oreilly's. I was told you can buy from them and I think have a substantial warranty.

I've got the "cheaper" Rhino ones that Super ATV sells on my 800 crew. They are working just fine so far. My understanding is they are sold under a different name but are in fact Rhinos without the longer warranty. Heck they even shipped them in Rhino boxes.

I ordered the Sixity axles, forward A arms from superATV,and the rest of the OEM parts from partszilla(Springs, shocks, bushings, hardware, bearings and break pads).

Oh and bought a service manual. The castle nut for the hub calls for 70 ft lbs of torque.

                      Y'all wish me luck.

I went with Sixity axles on all my atv's and utv's. Been happy with them.

Sound like you made your own decision. I wouldn’t spend $400 on something worth about $5000

Yep. All the parts should be here this week then I'll head back to the deer camp weekend after next to get started on it.
