I have killed a train car load of Turkeys with my recurve but have never killed one with a compound or a shotgun
Better lucky than good.
I went to my buddy’s place in Brownwood to hunt Turkey.
Wind was blowing 25 miles and I could not hear anything.
We decided to hunt hogs the first afternoon and I had a Tom walk down the road past me, one turkey down with my bow.
The next morning it was drizzling rain with a 20 mile north wind,
We decided to set in one of Deans rifle stands to get so relief from the weather.
We worked the call but couldn’t hear anything with the wind.
Just before we were going to give up we had another Tom come in all furred up and I busted him with the 10 guage.
Despite the weather it ended up being another great weekend at T-4
PS ... l saw a bunch of great Axis if anybody is looking for one.
