Free range chickens and swimming pool

Anyone have issues with free range chickens and swimming pools?

My kids want to raise some chickens but I’m concerned they will get tin our pool.

Just got back from Grand Cayman a couple of weeks ago. Free range chickens EVERYWHERE. Never saw one in the pool.

They don't bother our pool at all.

Only thing to worry about is they will leave mines everywhere. They may go out and free range but when they are taking a break it is always around my house in the shade and flower beds. or under the porch.

they wont get in the pool but they will shi$ all around it and on your porch, momma wont be happy. dont ask how i know......

I have a dozen running around. Never have seen them come close to the pool.

They will not bother your pool. All of the other comments above are true. My Wife likes them and we get four to five eggs per day. I throw shoes at them and try to spray them with the water hose when they get on to the stonework around the pool. They do enjoy getting in to freshly potted plants. Not good. Otherwise they have done fine in my back yard.

never had chickens in the pool but couldn't keep the Labs out of it when we had one. I can't get past the chicken mess always on the porch and sidewalks. No more chickens for me.

I cant speak for the pool, but they'll wreak havoc on a garden if you have one.

Well......see my last post above, #8.....we came home a few hours ago and found we were missing one chicken.......the OP originally asked about swimming pools but I guess my hot tub was a trap for one of our chickens. Still have not had any problems with the chickens in the pool.

Crank it up, throw in some dumplings
