    Decks and Patios

I'm not going to be at my current home more than the next 5 years. So should I build a nice wood deck for entertaining or should I just have concrete poured?

Probably be cheaper to have a patio poured. Deck is either going to be Treated, not my first or second choice or Redwood, 1st choice or Composite, very expensive and my 2nd choice. Plus if you use Redwood, you will need to treat/seal it ever so often or it will turn black over time. Spill anything on it and it immediately turns black unless it is treated with a stain/sealer. I had a patio poured after I enclosed my original patio area and made it my trophy room then I built a 10'x10 Redwood deck/Arbor with a metal roof for my smoker, grill and patio furniture.

Pour a patio and stain and/or stamp it. Little to no maintenance and will impact sale better than a 5 year old weathered deck.

Here is what I decided on. It's still a work in progress.
