I put out a bee swarm box at a friends ranch in D’Hanis. We found 3 separate hives in Oak and Mesquite trees. Hoping to catch one and add to my bee yard.

Well, I’ll ended up combining the weaker hive, with the stronger one. I put a piece of newspaper between the two hives, and joined them last night after dark. I went and checked on them this evening. I found pieces of chewed newspaper on the ground. Hopefully, I saved the weaker hive from dying completely. Not sure how to tell if I am successful in joining them, but I feel the weaker one would have completely died if I had done nothing. Hoping for the best.
