Im 55 years old and he is the best 3rd baseman of my lifetime. He not only had a great glove and put up great offensive numbers, he just played the game the way it should be played. A true leader. Enjoy your retirement AB, it is well deserved.
It is that rare individual who can play the game at the very highest level, hold everyone else around him accountable, have everyone in the game's total respect, and still have that **** much fun.
I'll never forget what a treat it has been to watch Adrian Beltre play baseball.
Man...I am sure going to miss, his play, his antics and his leadership. Was sure hoping for one more year with the new coach but I totally understand. Time to spend time with the family and relax. Thanks for the memories 2-9....you were the best 3rd baseman I've ever watched play the game. Cooperstown better start getting a spot warmed up for the best 3B to ever play.
