    Select Baseball Team Sponsorship Help

We have an 11U baseball team based out of Baytown that we are looking for sponsors for and we need some good ideas on where to start. We travel to all around the greater Houston area and beyond for tournaments. We go to LA occasionally and our World Series is in Alabama this year. If you have some ideas, tips, or even would like to sponsor, please post or PM me. Thanks for any help in advance.

Easiest and first step is to get all the parents/grandparents to ask their employers if they have a program set up for things like this, and many do. We were fortunate to have an Exxon Dad that applied 2x a year and received $1,500 for our team. $3K will go a long way if you set it up right.

Next are raffles. Best one I have seen lately is either a Yeti/Bison style cooler filled with various alcohol, each player has to supply a bottle and a mixer. Another one is a ball park wagon filled up the same way, add in the new style rocker chairs, Yeti/Rtic cups, thermacell, etc and sell tickets. Easily make a grand. With Mother's Day coming, get a nice purse from Dillards or Macy's and raffle that off. We only did 2 raffles per year, maybe a third, over that it gets old as most of the same folks are purchasing the tickets.

I always wanted my kid to play on a team with a Bail Bond company on the back like the Bad News Bears had

A little late for part of the info I have......we would do squares for the Super Bowl. A portion of the proceeds went to the team. I believe we also sold Restauraunt cards with coupons attached to them. For the most part the funds came out of the Parent’s pockets. Sometimes Family members would sponsor as well. My son was only on one team which had a full sponsor one summer......Marucci or some other shoe company name. I cannot even remember. He played tournament ball for ten years. It was a great experience.

I did a golf tournament with all proceeds going to the team. I dont remember exactly how much but I raised several thousand $$$ just from that. Make each parent responsible for putting together at least one team whether they play golf or not. They know someone that will do it. Raffles are easy to do also. Next to corporate sponsor money those two were the biggest bang for the buck in my opinion.

A big one......we joined up with one other team and actually sponsored a tournament. That alone paid for maybe five tournaments. The Parents helped with the fields and concession stand. This was a huge money-maker for us. It was kind of strange not watching our sons play though. They also helped with raking the fields and concession stand assistance.

I would say donate your trophy buck off your hunting lease, or a duck hunt maybe a fishing trip if you have a boat
I would also say these select teams should be self sufficient and not rely on the welfare of others. They banned these raffles @ my wife's work because of the lack of discipline people have for begging and pandering to support such teams

Most are self-sufficient but sometimes the kids do things to raise the funds. Car wash, hosting tournaments, selling items door-to-door. It is not unlike High School teams with respect to money. Almost all High School athletics teams have some form of a Booster Club to raise money for equipment, field improvements, uniforms, batting cages, nets, footballs.....on and on. If people are willing to support the kids whether it is High School or Tournament teams then I am good with it. Good luck to the OP.
