    Lightning Rod?

I live on a hill and we've had some pretty close calls with lightning at the house. Does anyone have lightning rods on their house? Who installed them? Any help would be appreciated.

Try to goggle a company called Bonded lighting protection. I think they have a Houston office. Hicks is another good company in Dallas but they do travel.

My Mother's house has been hit by lightning 3 times. The first two did minor damage but, she was not so lucky the third time. We still don't know how it didn't burn down the last time but, caused so much damage the whole house had to be completely gutted and re-wired. It took over a year for the whole process. She finally installed a lightning rod. Having seen the damage caused, I would recommend installing one.

Appreciate the input. I found a site that lists all installers by area so I'll call around. Half surprised/****** that the builder, considering where my house is, didn't line that up or at least mention it but maybe it's my fault for not knowing. Thanks again fellas.
