    Snakes don’t bother me. But I ain’t gettin close enough to look at what shape it’s eyes are or if he’s gotta diamond head. Any snake that crosses my path is in danger.

      Snake in the picture is a diamond back water snake. He will bite you and be aggressive but he is not venomous.
      While this is a rule of thumb a venomous snake can exhibit round pupils under lowlight conditions just like any other animal.

        I went back to the posted pic of the copperhead and zoomed in---elliptial pupil that is dilated to nearly round by low light.

          Cats will do this. We had one bring in half a dozen pigmy rattlers one summer. He'd leave them on the front steps messed up but still very much alive.

                Got home and he's still alive and still in the flower bed, he's about 11 inches long and about as wide as pencil. Can't believe he's been there all day. I left him there to do his job.
