Kroger is where I get mine. I don't waste that much time smoking a brisket on 3 pounds of meat through. I get 10-12 pounders and use the left overs in eggs, tacos, chopped, etc.
If you buy a small cut like that you're probably just getting the flat. Were you disappointed because it was dry?

They were ok when cooked, but I just don’t think it was as fresh as it should be. I had to take one back because as soon as I opened it I almost threw up. It was rotten. Maybe I’m just being paranoid after getting that one.
Get a 10-12 pounder, smoke to your preference (197 minimum, you can't cheat the temp), then cut and vac seal to save.
Freeze some chili next time you make it too.
Chop some brisket, skim some thin liquid off top of chili and mix with meat, roll in corn torts, top with chili and sharp cheddar and bake till bubly, then sprinkle with fresh cilantro.. for "Hurt Somebody" good Tejas enchiladas.
