    Kubota L3130 Drivetrain Issue

My granddad buried our tractor a few weeks ago and he got a little aggressive with it trying to get it out. It’s taken until today for me to get out there and get a guy with equipment to pull it out.

I noticed that when I pressed the diff lock the left rear tire wouldn’t spin and there was a pretty serious clicking sound. Ended up getting the tractor out when I was trying to take it back the left rear tire would just flat lock up. I could back up a little and it would unlock but every few revs you can hear a definite popping.

Anyone experienced this? Our normal tractor guys are backed up a couple months and I’m trying to decide if this is something I want to tackle.

Could pull the rock shaft cover off the top of the trans to see what broke. Worse case the side of the diff comes off. Not a hard job just messy.

I have that exact model in a 2006 model and have no idea? Always been a solid machine.

Be carefull. If something broke in differential there isn't much clearence. Don't break the housing. What gear are you in? What does it do if pulled in neutral?

I was in L-1. I haven’t tried pulling it at all

Try putting it in a higher gear.
