Shot a nice Kansas 8 a few years back at 35 yards. I thought I shot short at first as he jumped and bounced off about 20 yards and stopped. He turned and looked at the doe he was with and stood and fell on his back just like that. He never twitched or kicked once he hit the ground.

Wow! great story!! Glad to hear it wasn't CWD! I first thought about that but noticed he was looking carefully at the trail. Maybe someday I'll get to see something like this!
