      Looking good! On my chickens I do stick my hand in between the skin and separate it from the chicken and put a liberal amount of rub in there and spread it around, seems to help with flavor.

                Another trick to a more flavorful bird is spatchcocking to expose the meat and then using the rub. Not sure if you did this or not, but here is an example in this video.
