How long can you keep a deer on ice before the meat starts to ruin? I have some that have been on ice with the water drained several times a day and was wondering how long it will last.

2 weeks is a good time. Cellular decomposition takes place and may get a green hue to it. 2 weeks is a good middle ground. This is "aging" and in a resteraunt you would pay good money for this process. It makes it very tender and in MHO it doesn't taste as gammy. As atated earlier, keep cover with ice and drain often.
