I got roped into going to the rodeo this Saturday. Is it too late to look for a parking pass?
Is it better to just ride the Metro or Lift to get there?
I've had luck going the back way, opposite the carnival. 59 > Kirby > NRG. Makes for an easy exit.
I wouldn't park in the rodeo lots. I've been parking in any lot I can find as I get closer to the stadium. If need be, take a pedi cab. They just ask that you pay "what you think is fair". This is my first year at the HLSR (though my gf is a perennial attendee) and I've been really impressed with how easy we've been able to get in and out.

I was lucky enough to find someone that worked close by. We parked at his work and Uber'd from there. Regardless I highly suggest getting dropped off instead of trying to fight the parking, it is a joke.

There is a $20 lot where 6 flags used to be. Just park there, it's a 5 minute walk.
Park in the cash lot where astroworld used to be. Its 20 bucks. If you get there early enough and park towards the front half of the lot its super easy to get out. We went last Saturday and got out of the Parking lot in under five minutes. We were headed back towards Sugar Land area so we took Fannin to Holmes, to 90 through stafford back to 59 and it was smooth as could be. Hardly any traffic at all.
I like park and ride we used it last Saturday by the time I get down to Shepherd and 45 it's enough traffic for me already. We always stop at Sonic or somewhere and grab a Coke on the way in and top it off making a mixed drink when we get out of the truck at the park and ride and just relax and enjoy a drink on the way there without having to fight traffic and they drop you off at the gate.
