DO NOT come through Lake Charles headed East on I -10

I am heading to Lake Chuck this afternoon. Hearing that ol I-10 east is one lane around Beaumont. Wondering if I should take the Holly Beach route around. Any one been through that area lately?

Oh, I am a wazer. Looking at traffic now and dont see any. But I will be hitting LC around 4 when the traffic is already awful and just trying to make sure it isnt doubly awful due to lane closures. Made the trip 3 weekends ago and it was fine, but a coworker said it wasnt today.
