Bow Sight

I just installed an HHA OL-5000 single pin yesterday. I am going to try it out today. I had been using the Tru Glo 3 pin that originally came as part of the bow package.

All that I can say is WOW! I spent the day shooting the HHA single pin and it is great. It took less than 15 minutes to get me sighted in at 10 and 20 yards. I played a while and then sighted 30 and 40 (most of my hunting areas are at < 25 yards so I don't spend to much time practicing beyond 30). My groups were nice and tight. I shot some 3D and the clear field of vision (unobscurred by multiple pins) was very nice. It was a very comfortable transition from multi-pin to single pin and I am glad that I did it.

2 pins...1 for 10,20 and 30yds. Other for 40, 50 and 60 yds(60 is held top of shoulders) For hunting though 40 yards max.

I have a five pin sight. In hunting situations I generally use only my 20 and 30 yard pins. I have had need for my 40 and it has served me well, most recently taking a P&Y 9point at 42 yards. The reason I have the 5 pin is for practice. I like to work my way out to 60 yards during summer practice sessions. Once I am locked in at 50/60 yards I practice almost exclusively from these ranges (occassional throw an arrow frrom 20/30/40 but just to check pin settings okay). Practicing this far out really does alot for short range stability, accuracy and confidence.

two and i really only use one on game. because, i never have shots over 25 yds really.
