Snake Boots are Cheap!
Started wearing snake boots probably 90% of the time in the field now. Lace ups and a pain in the behind but my best friend almost lost his son-in-law last spring. I have had white river chaps full time under my back seat for years and the old plastic zip ups in case someone is with me. But now I am actually wearing protection. It took like 12 anti-venom viles to get him over it. He really almost died off a 16" rattler. Understand this big healthy young man is 6'2 and probably 250 lbs. Big ole boy!
So FYI guys - one anti-venom vile is $10,000.00 a piece! His hospital bill was over $136,000.00 dollars

I came within a couple inches of getting bit by one last summer while scouting. Easing through some thick stuff along a creek and never saw him till he was mid strike mouth wide open. I jumped back and he literally missed my knee by a couple inches. Scared the hell out of me! Moral of the story I always thought if ya just paid attention you prolly wouldn’t get hit by one and would see them. I was and just flat out didn’t see them. Those suckers can get camouflaged. Glad he didn’t get you!Last edited by SolocamShooter; 03-08-2018, 04:13 PM.

I've had a few different pairs of snake boots. Right now I have the Game Winners from Academy. They look just like the Chippewa square toes. I call them Cheap-a-wa.
Waterproof and snake proof.
They are very light and comfortable.
I've tested the water proof claim so far. Have not tested the snake proof claim yet
