Have to give more than that..

"The bull was taken by Denny Austad, Ammon, Idaho. He was using a special elk conservation permit, which cost approximately $150,000."

I thought that is what I read. Lord have mercy. $150,000 is a lot of money to spend to kill any animal. That sucker better field dress and cook himself - and he better be a dang good cook.

I am not sure but I looked at the B&C website and it said it was confirmed
                      January 2,2009.

I haven't had to worry about that. ...... yet.

Heck of a elk. I couldn't personally part with $150,000 for a hunt though. For that you could buy tons of land.

150K--It's only relative to what your bank account is
Me, I'd be OK with $150.00

World records and potential world records are treated differently than regular entries. They are not made "official" until scored by an appointed 3 scorer panel. This is usually done at the 3 year awards period event. Apparently they appointed a SPECIAL panel to score this bull and anoint him #1.

Let me give you some unsolicited advice. Even if you were as smart as you think you are, it would probably serve you better in life to try and not shove other people's nose in it. You just make yourself look foolish. Eventually people are going to stop chalking up your behavior to just being a overzealous kid.
