Think he was joking. I had a pair of ocelots come out in front of me on a Nilgai hunt a couple of years ago. I first saw their tails and thought, "cougars", but then saw the spots and thought, "MY GOD, JAGUARS." but then realized they were like the size of large house cats and thought, "too much booze".

Ranch manager confirmed they had a couple of young sibling ocelots on the ranch. Really cool animals.
