What is this stuff on my grass?

It’s the only spot I can see, in my front yard. If you brush your foot across it, it puffs dark dust, like powder.

Looks like sooty mold or maybe slime mold

The white almost looks like powdery mildew

That’s exactly correct. Cause all the rain we have had. You must have a thatch problem in your st.aug. No air movement. A fungicide helps but dethatch your lawn cut the lawn first then dethatch it. You can rent these at most rental stores called verticutter or dethatcher. But be careful not to set the machine to low where it hits the runners of the grass, the grass blades comes off these. You probably drop clippings every time you mow not a good thing to do, bag every third week. Lots of rain and hi humidity brings this on. Do this end of March
