I don't know, but I would have left it like it looked when I shot it. Congrats, it looks too good to tell.

Well the deer now looks like it did when he shot him. The deer broke the tine after it was shot and on his death run.

I've had a deer break one off into a tree on his death run, but he wasn't worthy of getting mounted.

Kevin is a better taxidermist than deer scorer. Deer went 215 and change. We fixed the tine since he broke it off after he was shot. He died within 50 yds of where he was shot and we spent a lot of time looking for the tine with no success. I have personally spent 6-7 hours looking for it.

Had this mean old 8pt our first year on the lease whipping up every buck that came in. Watched him fighting a 6 through the tree's one morning in the pouring rain and heard what sounded like a gunshot! A couple seconds later that 6 comes limping back across the pasture with 1 beam broke off and mud all down his side! Went over after I hunted and found the ground tore up where they were fighting but never did find that other side of his rack! I shoulda had my kid look! He woulda found it! I'm terrible at finding sheds and waldo in that stupid book!!
