5.4 Triton Problems

Get the bolts from the dealer!!! They upgraded them after all of the manifold issues. I have had 4 of the 5.4 engines.

where did you get work done. Asking cause I have one no prob. with exhaust.Mine is 2002.

The 2002s did not have the problem. You have a 2V engine, the 3V engines are the ones that have the right side exhaust manifold problem, along with cam phasers and spark plugs breaking off in the heads. Your 2002 2V engine won't have any of those problems, it might have a problem with blowing a spark plug out of one of the heads.

Check those plugs. I've seen them blowout.
