I’ve had the Insanity workout for several years. I thinks it a total of 63 days. The furthest I’ve made it was about 40 days due to one thing or another. I saw really good results when I was committed and following a good nutrition plan. I’m starting on Monday and will absolutely stick it out all the way to the end. It’s hard but I can’t imagine a better cardiovascular workout packed into 30-45 minutes. Even the 10-15 minute warmup will kick your ***! For me the first few weeks are rough but it gets better as you get stronger. You’ll definitely see results if you stick with it (follow the workout calendar) and watch your diet.
I do both p90x and insanity. Most the time I use insanity for my cardio days but I have completed both separately. If I could only choose 1it would b p90. You start seeing results with n the first month but you feel better after the first week. I was in decent shape starting them but if you are a big boy take it slow. Tony Horton says "do your best and forget the rest" as far as before and after just Google then what you see is legit if you follow the meal plan and stay dedicated you can look the same good luck
I've done several of the Beachbody programs. Insanity is pretty intense, I did 3 rounds of it a few years back. Like Jay said, the warm up is more difficult than most other workouts. If you're just starting a workout plan, I would choose something else. P90 or P90X, 21 day fix (I haven't tried this, but some friends like it), or hammer and chisel. Insanity Max 30 is plain crazy! I'm currently doing Athlean-X AX-1. It's not by Beachbody, but I'm liking it.
I did one round of insanity several years ago... if you aren't in good shape, wait, great shape I would start with P90. When I did it I thought I was in good shape, NOPE. At the time I was 5'10" 170 pounds and could run 3 miles in 28 minutes. It is a great program but it is for more advanced athletes.
I'm thinking of doing it this summer. I've done the original P90X 3 times and I can't recommend it enough. I'd start there if it were me, it'll work for anybody if you just take it slow and do what you can.
If it's a motivational situation you are looking for it may work for you. Personally the guy that does the P90X just really irritates me, but I never tolerated high school coaches or athletic directors either for the same reason.
I self motivate well, and don't care for the extra crap. If you are looking for a good work out regiment then the answer is most definitely worth the time. I just have to mute them.
Don't go in thinking you will chisel up and stack like they look. It's a solid plan that does work across the body, but dedication is majority of it as in any routine.
