    Painting over formica help.

My little girls dresser and desktop is covered with formica. We painted it once in the paint just pulled up. Is there a primer or something I need to put on there to make the paint stick?

Yes there is...I don't remember the name so do a quick google search... it is a kind of etching primer that will prepare the surface for the paint to bind to it so it doesn't peel..

home depot has a counter top paint that works great, not alot of colors to choose from, i did my kitchen and it looks great, make sure to use a smooth brush or roller, if not you will have bubbles,

Lightly sand with sandpaper then wipe it down with Paso....Prime it with oil base primer not Kilz ut a real oil based primer.....Lightly sand again with 220 then you can paint with oil or latex paint....
