    Lightweight RVS

I am thinking of buying a light weight bumper pull rv to tow with my 1/2 ton pickup. Are there any manufactuers that you recommend and which should I stay away from based on experience. Any information is greatly appreciated .

I can't really name companies but I would be looking at certain qualities:
Aluminum frame, Smooth (fiberglass) siding; it's easier to clean, aerodynamic, in the 5000# GVWR and tandem axle depending on length. 18' - 25'. I pulled a 30' with the opposite of everything I just posted with a 1/2 ton. I did fine on the flat stuff but the hills hurt the mpg BAD-6mpg. Good luck

I have a KZ lightweight. 22'...about 4000#. Pulls easy. Get fiberglass sides and slide(s). Slides make all the difference.

Outback makes some nice units, too.

x2......make sure the exterior sides are smooth fiberglass not the corrigated aluminum. it is much lighter that way, and make sure you get a slide out that makes all the difference on interior space.

Travel trailers shouldn't be pulled with a 1/2 ton unless you're a "snowbird". Only snowbirds are allowed to drive slow and not move over, stacking up 20-30 cars behind them.

              try rvwholesalers.com

I've been thinking of buying a ~35' 5th wheel and so far they are the best prices I've seen.
