    Hog feeder

Building this for pigs. No idea if it'll work but lights are on a 12v timer and has solar.

    Thoughts?

Huh, should would but seems like there could be store bought options that are cheap and less time. But I applaud your efforts. Need pics of the action

I had all the parts pretty much and needed a project. Whole feeder has run me like 70-80$
Had extra solar panel extra batteries, extra feeder motor, some feeder legs. Old ammo can to hold electronics

I really like that idea. I have some LED trailer lights I thought about doing something similar. Would

I’d like to see it in action. Are the going to come on all night, or just motion activated?

Here is my dirty garage about 7-10' below feeder and Amazon timer. $10. The 10 lights cost $10 from Amazon to. Is it alot of work for something that could be done with factory bought stuff yes. But sometimes this lasts longer

It should work fine for right under your feeder. You will have to put it on long legs to see much around it.

I think it should work fine for a while...My only concern would be the timer going out or stops working.

I do have a friend that has a feeder light set on a timer. The hogs have learned to not show up until after the timer has shut the lights off.

Haha could only work better then the $80 the Timer that's in the feeder motor part. Had those fail more often then not
