    Best spring food plot?

What is the best thing to plant in east texas. Beans?

    #2
I was going to ask the same but in north texas, we are thinking of soy beans, mung beans, clay peas, and milo, we have about 50 acres of plots. We have not planted any spring crops in a few years because of the wheat crop that we had, this year no wheat.

I'm going to plant my 0.75 acre plot like a garden. Black eyed peas, lots of greens, sugar beets and peas. I'm just gonna mix it all together and plant it like it was wheat or oats. It may just do the trick.

Thanks, We finally got access to a tractor, brushhog and disc. I have a atv disc thats works good but we are planting roughly 25 acres worth split into 2-3 plots. We have some big deer walking around so we have to try and suck them onto our 150 acre place and keep em close. Not sure if they are passin thru so we gotta try something. We have started the onslaught of the hogs, we got enough thats for sure. Heck we may till up about 50 acres worth which is in the middle of our place surrounded by woods and acorns.
