My daughter is only 2 but she absolutely loves going to the farm and helping feed and help me work with the cattle. We were at the livestock show and she was living it up. I mentioned to my wife ,shortly after our daughter was born, I had seen a friend of a friend on the book of faces whose 4 yr old was showing mini Herefords. Does anyone on here have any experience in this? Obviously she isn't ready just yet but figured we would begin to do our research, so if anyone has any contacts or wouldn't mind sharing their knowledge we would appreciate it. I showed swine in the county shows but that's about it, but my wife thought it would be fun ( and I agree, but expensive) to have her get involved in this when the time comes if she is still interested. sorry for being long winded

I got into the mini hereford business back in the summer. It is for the granddaughter.
We own 3 and she has been to 4 shows. We are going to Houston in March. They are good animals for kids to be around. If you decide to get into it be sure you check the registration and DNA of any you buy. Our granddaughter is 5 and she loves it. Minis eat a whole lot less and require less pasture.
