Need a new saw, 7 1/4. Corded on battery, and what recommendation on each that won't break the bank. I don't need professional grade just something that will last a long time with moderate use. Thanks GS

The little 119$ Makita is the best circ saw out there. Don't fall for bells and whistles...they just add weight.
I work on new home job sites every day, and 9 out of 10 saws framers use are Makita.
My dad has one he bought in '82. I wore out a Dewalt and a Rigid, then bought a Makita. FIL has a big ol bosch with a lazer beam and a big ol motor, problem is everytime you get semi lined up and squeeze the trigger that big ol motor makes it jump sideways.Last edited by Dale Moser; 02-07-2018, 11:23 AM.

Look around at some local pawn shops a bought a practically new skilsaw worm drive with the original blade barely used talked them down to 70.00 out the door I love it but it’s a beast, I also have a Milwaukee sidewinder I bought at a pawn shop very reasonable. Just know what you’re looking for cause there is a lot of overpriced junk out there.
