    What if...................

Reading, watching, trying to learn, on States that offer public hunts. More so the western area, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming etc.

They are quite the opposite of Texas as far as ownership. Lots of BLM, federal land, state land etc. Small percentage of land is owned by private individuals like Texas.

IMO they seem to offer a heck of a deal as far as encouraging people to enjoy the outdoors. Unlike it is said in Texas "if you wanna play, you gotta pay".

I know I am fixing to hear the "what about Bundy and others like him?!" blah blah blah. I am not saying it is the perfect system for everything but dang I sure would like to have access to millions of acres to roam for almost free to chase elk, mule deer, wt, etc.

I can only imagine if Texas was not so much privately owned as it is now. Wow

Those states have a very small population, compared to Texas. Can you imagine how tore up and depleted those National Forests would be if a populatiln of 4-10 MILLION people were within 3-5 hours drive? Especially considering our high population in Houston (Illegal and Domestic) that absolutely pack all "Free" public parks on the weekends in the Houston area and leave them and the surrounding area trashed when they leave.

If you've ever spent time in the The Rocky Mountain states, you'll appreciate how clean it is, not just the Forests, but everywhere. Certain parts of Houston, I feel like I'm driving through a Central American Barrio.....
