Purina vs Sportsman’s choice. I am going to start out some Atascosa co deer on protein this weekend. They have never had supplemental feed before and will have to jump in a large hog panel pen. Trying to decide which brand and whether to go with 16 or 20%. I don’t want to go to this much trouble only to find out they won’t eat it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Buy Antler Advantage 20% its much cheaper and my deer/axis hammer it just as hard as Antler Max. -
Put in some golden deer nugget mixed with corn for first few bags in. After that fill with protein. The record rack has a higher tdn but both are decent. I’d go with whatever is more readily available and better priced of the two.

I would go with the cheaper one to begin with for sure.....Then, as said above, mix it with corn for a few bags to help them get started. That is what I did with cottonseed to get ours on it and now they eat a 1/2 a ton a week.Comment

I use the Antlermax with water shield. It doesn't clump up as bad when it gets wet. That's the main reason I use it.Comment
