Let's assume the top 13 RPI teams host, that leaves 3 spots for 7 teams. The stats below make a strong case that A&M should get a host spot, but most likely won't due to SEC conference schedule.

So statistically, A&M SHOULD Get one of those last 3 host spots. If you put blind resumes without names against each other, why shouldn't they?

          Wins:
          T1. NC State - 40
          T1. Coastal - 40
          T1. Duke - 40
          4. A&M - 39
          5. Minnesota - 38
          6. Texas - 37
          7. UConn - 34

          RPI:
          1. A&M - 14
          2. Minnesota - 15
          3. NC State - 18
          4. UConn - 19
          5. Duke - 20
          6. Texas - 22
          7. Coastal - 23

          SOS:
          1. A&M - 15
          2. Texas - 20
          3. NC State - 35
          4. Coastal - 38
          5. UConn - 45
          6. Minnesota - 63
          7. Duke - 72

          Top 50 Wins:
          1. A&M - 14 (14-15)
          T2. Texas - 12 (12-12)
          T2. Minnesota - 12 (12-3)
          T4. UConn - 10 (10-8)
          T4. Coastal - 10 (10-7)
          6. NC State - 9 (9-7)
          7. Duke - 6 (6-6)

            Ags up now.

Turns out he hasn’t had an At Bat in a ball game since 8th grade. The press conference after the game was great

It would be an interesting decision if A&M were to win the tournament as that would put their overall conference record above .500 and would mean they went 5-0 against ranked teams to do so. I would guess it would be a coin toss whether the regional would be in Austin or College Station.

The conference title is the only thing the keeps Texas in the discussion. That likely kills the Ags chance of hosting.

                But.....Anything could happen on Monday!

I would guess Texas gets the bid. That, plus with the SEC already having for sure 4 host and the Big12 only 1.

I agree, except Tech will host so the Big 12 will have two hosting.

They lost more conference series than they won, and it wasn't close. They won't host. It is what it is.
