The nephew is building a pretty solid stat line for 2018.
He is 4-4 on the season with a 2.94 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 49 innings of work.
His first loss came in the season opener, his third straight opener to start. The senior right-hander, who made his third consecutive opening day start, allowed four runs (two earned) on four hits while fanning six over 3.2 innings of work.
His second loss was 5-0 versus Texas Tech, he threw 111 pitches and struck out a career-high (at the time) 10 batters. However, he was handed the loss after allowing five walks, four hits and three runs over five innings.
His third loss was pretty rough versus Western Kentucky, the right-hander gave up seven runs (five earned) on six hits and three walks in 3.2 panels. Kirby also struck out three.
His fourth loss wasn't much better versus LaTech, suffered the loss after yielding four runs on five hits over 4.1 frames. At this point he was 2-4 on the season.
His last two starts, he has settled back in and he has been on fire striking out 13 in 7.1 innings in his last outing!

So your buddy is in his early 20s? Does that put you in your early-mid 20s?
