                BTW, it is made from Burlington chert which is a favorite among modern knappers and fakers because it is easy to make old looking. It's cool looking though.

                  Oh it is real. Found by Dr Tom Stark in Bee county Texas some years ago. Dr stark died about a year ago and it was given to a friend of mine that hunted with him for many years. I also knew Dr Stark very well.

                              Since it has not been established as to what it is maybe it was just an experiment or a small art piece by the snapper ( Native) I'm guessing there were personalities back then much like today that just liked to Jack around with new ideas.
