    Headlight electrical question

Ok this could be an easy fix, but i can't figure it out.

My wifes driverside headlight quit working on dim but still worked on bright. I put two new bulbs in, and it is doing the same thing. I can have the headlights on dim and they are both on, then once i switch to bright the driverside will not come on. I switched the bulbs(passenger to driver side) now they both work on bright but not dim.

You need a test light and then chk for power AND ground at the plug in. Thats a starting point.
          good luck

If your reverse lights work, just drive backwards.
I know, I know, but somebody had to say it!

The wiring diagram for this vehicle shows a fuse for high and low beam for each side. Thats a total of four fuses for the headlamp circuit. Check these fuses. Most owner's manual shows the location and amp rating required.

Drain, flush and refill with headlight fluid container being careful to use the manufacturer's recommended viscosity.

Bulbs, then fuses, then connectors, then switches would be how I'd try to isolate it.

Or..... google headlight problem 2005 Cobalt and read what other people have posted about and any answers.
