Headed to SA in Feb for Rodeo trap/skeet shoot. Staying where 16 crosses the loop. What are the good eats?

My guess is 1604 and bandera area not far from the national shooting complex. Could be wrong though.

Head into Helotes for B Daddy’s for BBQ and about 1/2 mile further is El chap for Mexican.
About a mile before B Daddy’s is Bobby J’s for a good burger

Edit: No idea for a steak besides P Terry's is suppose to be good.

I like the BBQ station on 410 for good BBQ.
Good authentic Mexican at guajillo's 410/Blanco.
Not sure where to recommend for a good steak unless you feel like spending some money. Still looking for one I like better than my backyard.

I live just down the road, definitely go to El Chaparal. For steak I would go to La Cantera. Down 1604 about 4 miles and go to Perry's or Ruth Chris.

Whiskey cake in la cantera has treated us fairly well

La Cantera will be the closest for a steakhouse. We do not have a top tier steakhouse here IMHO. Silo is pretty good for dinner. Plenty of good mexican food.
