It'd be cool if he put that growth back into bigger slick 8 frame. That would be a looker for sure with such a beautiful cape.

Very cool deer. Love the cape. How old do you think he is? I would bet 8+ from the looks of him, face, knees, etc. Man, he reminds me of a buck we had, body wise, Tuft 8 that made it to 11.5.

Good on you Mitch for letting a genuine shooter walk! Sure hope you are rewarded with the opportunity to take him next season early enough he's not broken up! Good luck, and post up some velvet growth pics this next spring/summer if you get them... be cool to see what he does. What age you figure he is? Looks to be 6+ in those last pics, maybe more...

I have him at 6. Even If he does not grow an inch I will shoot him next year. He is easy to find and recognize. I honestly dodged the blind he was at simply because I knew I would see him. I gave him space to be happy.

We have a really Old Doe we call Gray Doe. She is really closere to White than she is to gray. Looks like she rolled around in baseball field chalk. She is probably 10-12 years old. She very well could be his mamma. She has a white neck also.
