Hog hunting contest?

I know there are contest for people that run hog dogs but are there any for guys that shoot them? I think it would be fun to get in on something like that. If there is such a thing. I did a search on it but all I'm finding is hog dog type tournaments.

Got one next weekend in Quitman 1-6 man teams big 3 stringer with 1 pound add on per head.

Yes they have gun hunting contests. I don't enter because most are rigged or people have places set aside to kill 50+ in no time.

I wondered about that as well. I'd imagine in a lot of the bigger contest a polygraph test is required. That's the bad part of any contest I suppose. I've all but quit huntin in local coyote calling contest because of stuff like that. The bad part about some of the smaller varmint hunts or any contest for that matter is the folks putting it on don't really care as long as they're getting their cut of the money. That ruins the fun and the purpose of even setting rules.

We polygraph all places. In ours you can kill them by any legal means within tournament hours. Bow, gun, dog, trap catch by hand don't matter. By being fewer rules... there are less to break or bend. And by doing a big 3 stringer the local high school team has every bit as good a chance as mine that travels 4 hrs one way. Yea we may kill 30-50.... but USUALLY 3 that average 220 will be in the running. Any 4 man team with some drive has a. Realistic chance at that

I'm gonna have to talk to a few of my buddies and try and get a team rounded up. I think that'd be a blast. And heck even if you kill 30+ you're only weighing 3 to win,right?

Correct + head count
Example:
Pig1+pig2+pig3+total killed= score

Local FFA puts it on 1/2 payout

I wish. One of my teammates owns and runs a pig slaughtering facility. Lol
