Arrow switches side on TV deer

Not sure what I just watched. Watching Red Arrow on Outdoor Channel. Guy is hunting a freak buck. Good left side and pretty much big spike in right. Deer comes in and he shoots him on the spike side which is the right. He goes to get the deer and when he walks up the arrow is sticking out his left. Why would they switch the sides.

Didn’t watch it but initial shot looks high? Probably a follow up shot is what’s in the LDP?

Yea that may be true. On film showed him knocking a second arrow but then letting down. Usually they don't even show an arrow sticking out of an animal much less a follow up shot

I think because the buck fell where he had no shot. My guess is he went to check on it and it was still alive. The angle of the “second” shot looks mighty close and probably was stuck in some bone or cartilage and he couldn’t get it out.
