When you are heading to the polls what traits do you look for in candidates such as Sheriff’s, JP, Constable or Commissioners?

Is it the experience, age, good ole’ boy, their vision or mission or the backing the candidate has?

I fall into this category. In Burnet Cnty I am a member of Rotary so I usually know or have met most candidates. Growing up in Burnet/Llano Cnty I know lots a people so I ask around if I don't know the candidates. I'm friends with most of the county judges, district judges, sheriff and lot of the deputies, police chief and several council members and commissioners . The more you get involved in your community the more in touch you will be.

Pretty much agree with most of what has been posted... If a candidate has the integrity, experience and operational/management skills and is a person of faith, specifically Christian, that's who gets my vote. Will I vote for a non-Christian, absolutely, BUT given similar candidates and one is demonstratively Christian, that the one that gets my vote.
