It all has to do with human pressure and food sources!

      And location.

The pattern nearly 100% when left alone at my place. I have years of trail cam pics as proof. Now when I let people start shooting they sometimes change but sometimes just plain leave.

If one hunts close to a river or out east then they move around a lot more from my experience.

Yep. There are 4 feeders out of 15-20 on our place in east Texas that don’t have feed pens and if there isn’t anyone shooting at them or running around the place on four wheelers, they will be at the feeder every morning and evening as soon as the feeder goes off. If you sneak in you may be able to pick one or two off while they are on that pattern but they quickly wise up and change their habits!

Like Riverrat said everyone has been saying hogs have been taking over like crazy for 30 years now. Under that logic the entire world would be overcome by hogs now. That's like saying bitcoin will gain 20 percent every 6 months and after 30 years it hasn't even doubled.

I wish people in certain locations that have an abundance amount of food for the hogs and do have a problem would stop talking for the people that have easily controllable hog populations.

Looks like the work begins to keep them in check. Will likely take out the sow with a suppressed shot and hope the pigs come back to her so I can take out more.

Exactly my point. They may follow a routine for a little while, but as soon as one variable changes, so does their routine. When food runs outt and they start coming to corn, they're at my feeder as soon as it goes off. The deer then are left to pick off the scraps in the middle of the night.

Depending on the time of year, it may be reversed because the deer will generally start coming to the corn quicker than the hogs at my place.

This is what I'm experiencing which is why I believe they are beneficial (in the near term at least). Deer started coming in before the sun set when these Hoovers started showing up.

That is what I would recommend also! Then borrow a trap from someone.

Before long they will take over and root up your place...or your neighbors
