I'm assuming that if a thread about me and my passion for Grateful Dead music was posted I'd be dealing with the same idiots...if it's not for you, just move on.

Guys, a large venue is an arena or amphitheatre. Stadiums are a whole nuther level. 12-20,000 is a large venue. Reunion Arena and now AAC are large venues. Basketball arenas = large venue in music. Stadiums + stadiums.
I went to a few Texas Jams.

Ah yes... 1978 Texxas Jam.
Dad dropped Farmdog and I off the night before and we "slept" outside the Cotton Bowl on the grass.
I was 16 about to turn 17 and Farmdog was 15. Along with most people, we had never heard of Van Halen. Since we camped out, we were among the first several hundred in the stadium on the floor. At first people could sit on the field and claim a space but as the people kept coming it became a sea of humanity with no police presence and relentless heat.
Heart took the stage as the sun finally eased up and for the first time, we actually enjoyed ourselves. Ted and Aerosmith were on point but by the time they took the stage, we were pretty much zombies from dehydration and fatigue.
