One of the original Big 4 thrash metal bands from the early 80s. Have sold over 20 million records with no radio airplay because they stuck to their roots and didnt turn towards a more radio friendly style like Metallica. Been at it 37 years. Sold out every venue on the current fairwell tour. Most are large venues. 14,000 plus in Austin.

'Disciple' From: 'God Hates Us All' (2001) ...
'Black Magic' From: 'Show No Mercy' (1983) ...

'Hell Awaits' From: 'Hell Awaits' (1985) ...
'South of Heaven' From: 'South of Heaven' (1988) ...
            'War Ensemble' ...
            'Angel of Death'

Looks like all of their music is dark, sinister, and about death. They must be unhappy.

              Inspiring lyrics.

              Angel of Death
              Slayer

              Auschwitz, the meaning of pain
The way that I want you to die
              Slow death, immense decay
Showers that cleanse you of your life
              Forced in
              Like cattle
              You run
              Stripped of
              Your life's worth
Human mice, for the angel of death
Four hundred thousand more to die
              Angel of death
Monarch to the kingdom of the dead
              Sadistic, surgeon of demise
              Sadist of the noblest blood
              Destroying, without mercy
              To benefit the Aryan race
              Surgery, with no anesthesia
Fell the knife pierce you intensely
              Inferior, no use to mankind
Strapped down screaming out to die
              Angel of death
Monarch to the kingdom of the dead
              Infamous butcher,
              Angel of death
Pumped with fluid, inside your brain
Pressure in your skull begins pushing through your eyes
              Burning flesh, drips away
Test of heat burns your skin, your mind starts to boil
              Frigid cold, cracks your limbs
              How long can you last
              In this frozen water burial?
              Sewn together, joining heads
              Just a matter of time
              til you rip yourselves apart
              Millions laid out in their
              Crowded tombs
              Sickening ways to achieve
              The holocaust
              Seas of blood, bury life
Smell your death as it burns
              Deep inside of you
              Abacinate, eyes that bleed
              Praying for the end of
              Your wide awake nightmare
Wings of pain, reach out for you
His face of death staring down,
              Your blood running cold
              Injecting cells, dying eyes
              Feeding on the screams of
              The mutants hes creating
              Pathetic harmless victims
              Left to die
              Rancid angel of death
              Flying free
              Angel of death
Monarch to the kingdom of the dead
              Infamous butcher,
              Angel of death
              Angel of death

It's about Nazi concentration camps. Great song.

Jeff was really into German stuff. He died. May he RIP.

**** shame about Vinnie. Obviously not my style of tunes, but you did not grow up in Cowtown as a music fan and Stars fan without knowing who Pantera and VP were. The stars still play the goal song that Pantera made for them after every goal, and I expect they always will.

I understand he has been pretty tortured since Dime was killed. If nothing else, he's got his brother back.

                        RIP, Vinnie.

I know that, BoB. I was being facetious. Didn't realize it would cause Burnadell to question my manhood.

I remember when they're dad had the studio and record shop in Pantego, before he moved to GP. It was the go to place for concert tickets.

This is awesome! Should make Bob proud!

A sign language interpreter has stolen the show at a metal concert with her enthusiastic translation of the music. Fan Freddie Ibarra filmed her at the Slayer Farewell tour in Austin, Texas.
