If your in the mood for bar food it will work. I only ate there once and it was decent. Just not the menu options I was looking for.

Yea bubbas seafood in seadrift got the nod. Andddddddd it was great. They had run out of crawfish by time we got there (1930) but boiled shrimp and etoufee was awesome and paired well with the Weiser. Cheers.

Cathys has fried shrimp that is as good if not better than anywhere else you can go. If you want really good eats- goto the docks in Seadrift and buy a sack of oysters, buy a few shucking knives and some hot sauce. throw in a case of beer and you have all the oysters about 8 guys can eat and beer for under $100.

Maybe I'm alone in this and it has been at least 6 months since I was there. But, I always thought that Doc's there in POC was pretty good. I also liked Hurricane Junction for the lunch time specials, but can't tolerate the crowd in the evenings. Food isn't that bad, just not top notch. The only reason that place is on the map is due to fishing. Not a tourist hot spot, so you get what you should expect

Dock’s is good and byob. They did move locations recently so I’m not sure where they are now in POC

I miss the old Stryker's Cafe...you have to be old to remember that Port O'Connor landmark.

Glad you enjoyed it. Breakfast at the little mexican food joint in town is great for breakfast too though I know you have the filling station in POC that is killer.

Go to Bubbas in Seadrift. Never ever been disappointed there.

I lived in POC for a year while we were developing the Sanctuary in 2007. We always drove to Seadrift and ate at Barketts or drove to Port Lavaca. I didn't like any of the places in POC.

I had the fried fish platter from Mamma's Kitchen a couple of months ago and was not impressed.
