Went here 28.462429, -96.415000 last May and did ok.

I've never fished down there in the winter months.

From what it sounds like, find some deeper water adjacent to mud flats...

my $0.02.....As cold as its been the last week and now its slightly warming I would look for mud flats with guts or muddy bottom with drops, fish right at the drops and look for any kind of bait. Being that we aren't out of the cold but a few days I would think they will be on the deeper side and in the mud.

The coordinates that hopedale sent are a sand bottom and better in the spring and summer when the trout are moving onto the sand/grass. I haven't been in powderhorn on the east side of the bridge but it may be holding some fish....thats a total guess. I know the entrance is a bit tricky.

Let us know how you do, and keep your eyes open for ducks for the WORP trip next weekend!

Supposed to be in the 70's on Sunday, and also on Saturday, so for the fly fisherman, you might go into the marsh areas behind the old coast guard station... deep water in that area that makes up into some shallow mud/scattered shell flats... likely to be some reds coming out on the flats to feed, especially if its sunny... This time of year though, fish won't be far from deep water... If you know how to get back into Pringle Lake, you might find redfish there too...

Typically the tides are pretty low this time of year, and it looks like this year is no different.

I am not sure what type of boat you have but the back lakes will be difficult - so stick to the mouths of the lakes and like others have said, look for a dark/mud bottom and fish the drop offs.

That should get it as long as theres not some crazy tidal movement. North wind should be over long enough Id think most of the water will be back.

Probably not the best time to fly fish. Tell him sinking line and I would fish dark mud Jetties will. S best bet. Reds sheepshead and mangroves. It's always better catching than chasin fish that are not there

Well that or area close to the Pass. Water temps should be better coming off the gulf and it's deeper water. If you want to wade I'd try Marys
