IH 10 has been shutdown in Beaumont to attend to all the wrecks. Too many for the BPD to handle. One fatality at Washington Blvd

My husband has zero experience with ice, or what “The roads are closed” actually means. Our conversation over the last 45 mins has me wiping tears from laughing so hard. He is a technical genius, but sometimes his common sense heads out the window. (He knows I’m typing this) I’ve resorted to “Plane no stop, plane go BOOM!” and “You try drive on iced over slanty overpass, you DIE.” Oh, and my favorite: “If you don’t cancel this trip, you’re a dumb*$$.” That one seemed to work.

I will add that we have a very respectfull relationship and I don’t normall refer to him in such a derogatory manner. It did get the point across, and he laughed

I-10 is a mess at the San Jacinto river/Baytown... traffic backed up for miles not going anywhere... Lots of big rigs. Little rice burners running out of gas... gonna be a while before that clears...

Slow down on bridges and overpasses, the roads are dry otherwise. I was able to do 75 the whole way in except for bridges.

When I got off shots at midnight the only areas we had small amounts of ice left were out towards The sam Marcos river bridge and plum creek area. Every thing from 593-628 looked good in seguin. Take it easy on bridge decks and overpasses but you should be fine today.
