Anyone on here lease a vehicle? My wife is needing (wanting) a new ride and is in the market for a jeep. I have never leased and really dont know much about it other than there are penalties for over mileage. She drives about 50 mile round trip to work everyday, and with all the running around she does, puts over 20,000 miles a year on her vehicle. What are the pro's and con's of leasing?

I don't like leasing because it means that you'll always have a car payment. I'd rather buy, drive the vehicle while I pay it off and then keep driving it while I pocket the money that used to go to the car payment. My wife and I haven't made a car payment in 4 or 5 years, that adds up to a lot of savings. But, if you're someone that has to always drive a new, or almost new, vehicle then I can see why one might choose to lease.
