2018 San Angelo surrounding area season thread.....

Anyone know someone who offers dove day hunts around San Angelo?

We sometimes have decent tank action, but it is spotty. It would be nice to be able to book a decent afternoon hunt when we are up there working in September.

Check with Greg Simons with wildlife systems. He has some prime fields there just outside town. Not sure how he does his hunts but has some great areas.

Did you get up early enough to see if we had Any on radar? When I got up everything was east of Angelo. Hoping I started way west or in top of us irion guys.

There was a big system right over Angelo at 2:00 - 3:00 AM not sure if it got to Mertzon and west of there.

We should have picked up some in Irion. Not a lot like southern sterling did. Just a guesstimate from looking at radar I would say around 1/2” at our place. I may be out there later today I’ll check.

All along the corridor running from sterling city to san angelo got hammered last night. Big storm pushed through around 3am

Looks like our lease in Water Valley got some good rain as well. Best we can tell it parked over it for two hours. Looking forward to getting out there this weekend and putting out another 6 tons of protein from Palmers.
