He was fine with my red bow light, but when the green feeder light came on, he was gone. I used this feeder light a couple years ago and they didn't seem to mind it. Different hogs, I'm sure!
Probably got him in the hollow spot between the vitals and spine.
Pretty sure it was the same one that came back. He was nervous, and I probably shouldn't have went for it, but oh well. I wanted to get the shot in before the light came on again. Got a pass through, but the broadhead stuck in a stump. Fur and grease on the arrow and broadhead, but no blood.
Here he was just before the shot.
Had to unscrew the arrow last night. Went back this afternoon to retrieve it.
Still couldn't pull it out, so I chiseled it out with a hammer and machete.
Doesn't seem to be any damage, other than a little knick in one of the blades. Cleaned it up and gonna give it a sharpening.
Me and a buddy are about to head out to some public land to try to kill some bacon. We're running late but we decided to go and see what we could find.
